Born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa and raised in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Whamae's exceptional gifts of song and dance have traces of her cultural roots. Her music can be described as a soulful blend of urban Christian music accompanied by an electrifying merge of live instrumentation, captivating rhythms, and a richly magnetic vocal range.
As a graduate of the celebrated Duke Ellington School of the Arts, she has worked with various producers in the mainstream recording industry. After twelve years of pursuing a career in secular music, she had a change of heart, mind and spirit allowing Christ to take root in her life; that experience would eventually lay the blueprint for her spring 2009 release entitled Living Water. In summer 2008, Royal Priesthood Entertainment partnered with this anointed song writer to help launch her ‘beyond industry’.
